WHF Youth Leadership Initiative
Privacy & Youth Safety

A safe, respectful space to learn, lead, and serve

The WHF Youth Leadership Initiative is committed to protecting every participant. These guidelines apply to trainees, trainers, mentors, admins, and every family involved in the program.

Information used only for training

Participant information is collected and used only for training delivery and program administration — never for marketing or shared with unrelated third parties.

Youth information handled with care

Details about young participants are handled with extra care. Access is limited to trainers, mentors, and admins who need it to support the trainee.

Private information stays inside the program

Personal details, family information, contact details, and anything shared in confidence must not be shared outside the program.

Meetings & materials are confidential

Live session discussions, mentor conversations, reflections, and internal training materials are confidential. Do not record, screenshot, or forward them without written permission.

Photos & videos require permission

Photos or videos of participants — especially minors — may only be captured or published after explicit consent from the participant (and parent/guardian where applicable).

Respectful communication at all times

Kind, honest, and respectful communication is required in every channel: sessions, messages, assignments, and group projects. No bullying, harassment, or inappropriate content.

Professional conduct for everyone

Trainers, mentors, admins, and trainees are all expected to maintain professional conduct — modelling the Islamic values and leadership character this program is built on.

Speak up if something feels wrong

If you ever feel unsafe or witness something that breaks these guidelines, contact a mentor, trainer, or admin immediately. You will be heard, supported, and protected.

Our shared commitment

By joining the WHF Youth Leadership Initiative, every participant agrees to follow these program guidelines, honour the privacy of others, and communicate with respect. This is how we build a trusted community where young leaders can grow with confidence.
